Yvonnick Prene, a renowned chromatic harmonica player and Hohner ambassador, has been pushing the boundaries of the instrument in jazz since arriving in New York City in 2007. Originally from Paris, Yvonnick has built an impressive career as a performer, recording artist, and educator. Since 2013, he has released seven albums including: "Jour de Fête" (2013); "Wonderful World" (2014); "Merci Toots" (2015); "Breathe" (2016); "New York Moments" (2019); "LISTEN!" (2023); and "Jobim's World" (2024), recorded with Geoffrey Keezer on piano for SunnySide Records.
Yvonnick has performed at major clubs, including Birdland, The Blue Note, Smalls and Green Mill, and at festivals such as: the Jersey City Jazz Fest; Exit Zero Cape May Jazz Fest (NJ); Winter Jazz Fest (NYC); Bern Jazz Festival (Switzerland); Festival Émoi du Jazz (Ivory Coast); Lamentin Jazz Festival (Martinique); SPAH Harmonica Fest (Tulsa); Hyde Park Jazz Festival (Chicago); and Jazz Sur Seine Festival (Paris). In addition to his performance career, he founded the New York Harmonica School and My Harmonica Studio, where he helps students worldwide master the harmonica. His expertise and passion for the instrument continue to inspire both audiences and aspiring players alike.
